After making your donation, all funds received via the Donate button you clicked on will be forwarded directly to the nominated bank account for the medical clinic. No charges or deductions will be made to cover the cost of this; it is entirely a facility 100% for the benefit of the clinic and its expansion, and is provided only to assist the fundraising with PayPal as a donation channel. TPC-Media was fortunate enough to be involved in the full creation and production of this calendar (from afar!) for both the 2012 and 2013 editions, taking all the  heartwarming (and sometimes tragic) stories in text and images and packaging with a functional and eye-catching desktop calendar for the SCAA to sell to its supporters and help raise much-needed funds.

Due to be launched shortly with Ireland first, followed by a number of other countries before the end of 2013, the idea is to take a twist on the original online guidebook idea by showing ideas, advice and trips straight from locals – along with a few deals from the companies themselves. We’re trying to create sites where visitors can find real attractions that the big tour sites and agencies either haven’t thought of or have no interest in.

The sites are all being built, operated, maintained and hosted by ourselves. The first one, Let’s Visit Ireland is due to launch shortly and we’ll be sure to let you know when it has!

It was given a new-look much more in keeping with the new travel focus, with more graphic design – re-homed on TPC-Media Hosting servers for increased reliability, and had extensive SEO efforts performed to improve its like-ability to the search engines. It was built with future monetization possibilities in mind, improved analytics and the possibility of doing A/B testing going forward.

Today, the site continues on, with the current theme still looking fresh despite being in place since 2011, still being housed on our servers and with TPC-Media carrying out operation and upgrading work.

Having already used WordPress and with many of the original files still available on the server, reconstructing the site wasn’t too tricky and with a new theme and more security features than before, including automatic lock-outs and off-server backups, the new-look site was ready to go once again.

Since then, by the nature of the high-traffic and popularity of the site, more hacking attempts have been attempted – none successful to date – and it has gone from strength to strength, with more security features being added, and TPC-Media being responsible for the operation and running of the site.

Their previous site allowed no room for interaction or creativity – their new site meanwhile came with everything they could need and was deliberately constructed to be fully future-proof, including a ready-to-go event registration and ticketing system, in-built subscription and mailing system, ability for members to log in and view exclusive offers (and in time, renew membership online if desired) on top of all the usual aspects you would expect of a high-quality professional site.

Today, TPC-Media continues to host and is responsible for the operation of the site on a day-to-day basis. Despite being built on the easy-to-use WordPress infrastructure, we handle all new posts, pages, updates and provide technical support – and a bit of a friendly help – when it’s needed.
